Slip cast ceramic tiles that draw inspiration from the natural patterns created by shelf mushroom colonies.

 

I 3D printed a master form in FDM plastic, and with that form I created plaster molds. From those molds I was able to rapidly produce dozens of tiles, which were then bisque fired, glazed, and fired again.

This project marked the first time I had ever mass produced one of my own designs, even if it was on a relatively small scale.
